This Premier League season has already been full of its fair share of high-intensity moments. Last-minute equalizers, unexpected defeats, and a whole host of other twists and turns have provided us with endless entertainment each week.

Luckily for us viewers, things don’t look set to slow down any time soon. The title race is well and truly underway and it’s hard to pick a clear winner. Due to this, there are a number of crucial fixtures in which the victor must be decided.

In this article, we’re going to take a look at some of the key fixtures coming up over the next few months. But first, let’s take a look at some of the most exciting upcoming Premier League fixtures that you should get tickets for.

Chelsea VS Liverpool (2nd Jan)

This battle between two title contenders could go either way. Chelsea has had some unfortunate and unexpected results recently, whilst Liverpool has been on fire. But as everyone knows, this could change at a moment's notice.

After a draw against Manchester United and a loss to West Ham United, people are beginning to question whether or not Chelsea has it in them to go the whole way and win the title. Certain cracks are beginning to show in a previously impenetrable defence, and this is a worrying sign for fans.

Liverpool is currently on fire and with Mo Salah scoring non-stop, one can only assume this will continue. These two teams are both gunning for the title against current champions Manchester City, so this fixture will be extremely decisive. It takes place at Stamford Bridge on 2nd January. Who will be the winner this new year?

Man City VS Chelsea (15th Jan)

For similar reasons, this game will be huge. Last season under Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea was able to dismantle Manchester City. This happened in the Champions League final, a fixture that City was the favourites to win.

Despite this, Manchester City is looking like a very solid unit at the moment and could start to race ahead of the competition. They are currently Premier League champions and have been a pretty dominant force in English football for the past decade.

They have easily won their last few Premier League games but suffered a Champions League defeat against RB Leipzig, which was unexpected. City has always struggled in the Champions League, and whether or not this has an impact on their chances in the Premier League is yet to be seen.

Man City VS Man United (5th March)

The Manchester Derby is always exciting. It’s the sort of game in which anything can happen, regardless of their current form.

City has been a much more solid team than Manchester United over the past few years. Both teams have had hugely talented squads within this time but City has had a superior manager and system in place. United has been in flux and they are looking to become a more stable unit.

Despite all of this, when these two teams go up against one another they always battle to the end. After years of being second best, Manchester City has had a point to prove. Their dominance has been enjoyed by City fans, but many would argue that United is still a much bigger club and so the grudge match still produces fireworks each time.

Liverpool VS Man United (19th March)

The Northwest Derby is one of the biggest games in world football. Viewers from around the world tune in eagerly for this fixture, but nothing can compare to experiencing it firsthand in Old Trafford or Anfield.

Last time out, this game didn’t go so well for Manchester United who suffered a 5-0 defeat and a red card to one of their star players. This game came towards the end of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign and was one of the final nails in the coffin of his stint as Manchester United manager.

Now, with Ralf Rangnick at the helm, it is possible that Manchester United could come back stronger than they have in years. Their results have been positive over the last few games as they have adopted a new style of play under the German.

Hopefully, the next time these two footballing powerhouses meet the away side will put up more of a challenge.

Man City VS Liverpool (9th April)

With Chelsea, Man City, and Liverpool all clutching at the title, this will be an important game. In the past, this game had no particular significance. As cities, Manchester and Liverpool have been fierce rivals for quite some time, but it wasn’t until Manchester City became a top-level team that the rivalry between City and Liverpool emerged.

This rivalry came to where it is now when Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola took over their respective clubs. The two managers have distinct styles of play and have battled it out for the Premier League for several years now.

Some of the matches between the two teams have been extremely exciting. From Riyad Mahrez missing a penalty to Liverpool having a goal disallowed by centimetres, it is a heated fixture every time.

By 9th April, if things carry on going the way they have been so far, the Premier League title will nearly be decided. This means that this particular game could be one of the most exciting high-stakes matches of the whole season, so you won't want to miss it.

Who Will Be Premier League Champions?

All of these games will be integral in determining which teams end up finishing in the top 4 at the end of the season, qualifying for the Champions League. But the coveted Premier League title is well and truly up for grabs.

With half a season still left to go, it’s highly likely we’ll see some huge moments and only time will tell.
