Over the last four weeks there has been plenty of stars, flops and surprises. Football Ticket Pad has picked out their Euro 2016 Team of the Tournament...England fans look away now.

As all the Euro 2016 squads are announced, Football Ticket Pad has selected a ‘Missing XI’ made up of players who have been overlooked by their nation for this summer’s Euro 2016 Championships in France.

Lille is well renowned for its friendliness and strong cultural and architectural links. Located in northern France, Lille has a large university population and is a city based on Flemish influences due to its close proximity to the Belgian border. The city bases itself on its 17th century architecture which can be seen across the city, especially in the city centre and Grand Place which homes the iconic war memorial in a square surrounded by its historic buildings. The city also boasts fantastic transport networks, particularly its railways which make the city somewhat of an international hub. The city is set to host six games throughout Euro 2016 which will include four group matches, followed by a Round of 16 fixture and one of the Quarter Finals.

Toulouse, labelled by many as ‘The Pink city’ after the cities terracotta brickwork, is hosting some of Europe’s biggest teams this summer for Euro 2016. Toulouse will welcome the holders Spain, Italy, Wales, Russia, Sweden and Czech Republic during the month long tournament. Located in South-West France, Toulouse is the European capital of aeronautics and innovation and has embraced the technological age in recent years - boasting Europe’s largest space centre. The city has a vibrant university population and is a city steeped in history, as well as being voted the most desirable place to live in France with plenty of bars, pubs and nightclubs to celebrate if your team wins.

Lyon is the third largest city in France and will be one of the main cities where football supporters will base themselves this summer for Euro 2016. Lyon is one of the most dynamic cities in the country and often referred to as France’s ‘Second City’, after Paris. The city is beautiful with numerous parks and riverbanks running alongside its two main rivers, the Rhone and the Saone, with the old city being listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.

Chelsea Football Club announced earlier this week the appointment of Antonio Conte as First Team Head Coach. The Italian is set to take over the reigns in London following Euro 2016 this summer where he will lead Italy before moving to Chelsea on a three year contract. With plenty of squad alterations, a busy summer transfer window beckons.
